Below is a project in which a great deal of the reed bed was drying out and the area was quickly becoming boggy and losing water. In order to solve this we would need to create a bund to encircle the area and force water onto
the reed bed
This project involved a small amount of reed cutting and a great deal of tree work and ditching. Once the reed harvesting was complete the digging arm was attached and the ditching work began:
As the bund needed to extend a few hundred meters through overgrown trees and hedges, a number of trees had to be cut and cleared in order to create a path for the bund to follow:
This then allowed for the bund to be dug out following the designated path. This was then left to green over in the warmer months.
